These folks that work here are nothing short of amazing. What makes them amazing is that, despite the craziness of how Covid-19 has changed our world, the staff is thoughtful, caring, positive, thorough, informative, and prompt in the way they provide service to our 4 legged family members. Heck, I’ve even spoken with both vets multiple times while taking care of Bob (our cat) and Sandy (our dog), and even after...yes, the actual pet doctors called us and checked in on our babies!!! Where does that happen you may ask...as far as I know, just at this wonderful animal hospital!!! So, if you want your pets cared for the way you would care for them for, go to the Saint Petersburg Animal Hospital and Urgent Care!.

Took my pup here last Saturday as my regular vet was closed and some of his stitches came out. Everyone was super friendly and helpful! The vet on duty added some well-placed staples to close up his wound and their follow up has been excellent. They were also affordable, which was a pleasant surprise! I'm new to the area and it's reassuring to know I am not far from quality after-hours care in the event of an emergency.

This emergency animal hospital is great!!! I took my dog there lastnight as we thought she had swallowed a rib bone. We pulled up and in a few minutes they came out and got her and took her in. They communicated with me on the phone. She had x-rays and luckily she did not swallow the rib bone !! They were friendly and the vet explained options if they would have found a bone. I was very pleased with the service and care they gave to my fur baby! I would definitely take her back in need of and emergency animal hospital.

I took my dog Otis with me on a trip from Pittsburgh to St. Petersburg. While there Otis got injured and was unable to put weight on his leg that was previously repaired for a torn ACL. so I took him here late on Wednesday evening. He got a shot for pain and x-rays to determine the damage. I took him back on Thursday evening for another shot because he was not eating or drinking. While there they received the x-ray report. The damage to his leg was extensive. Being a big dog (150 pounds) I decided that after 8 years I had to let him go. I was totally unprepared for this news. The amount of care, compassion and patience exhibited by the staff toward Otis and myself was incredible. Devinne went above and beyond to make both all of us feel that we made the right decision.
She is amazing.

Last Saturday I brought my Rescue Cat to the great folks at St. Pete Animal Hospital and they took her right in (I had never been there before) and examined her. After the exam, Dr Lura spoke with me and gave me a great diagnosis and some very helpful advice, which proved to be right at the heart of Rescue Girl's problem. Can't recommend St. Pete Animal Hospital more highly. Thank you all and Happy Thanksgiving!
