What To Expect

When you arrive at St. Petersburg Animal Hospital & Urgent Care, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.

During an emergency, it’s important that our team gets critical health information as quickly as possible. A member of our veterinary technician team will meet you and get all of your pet’s medical details and obtain vitals from your pet. If the situation is critical, your pet may be taken directly to our examination facility for immediate assessment.

Our emergency veterinarian will then examine your pet and discuss their recommendations for diagnostic testing and a treatment plan, specific to your pet’s needs.

Following your visit, all medical records, including diagnostic lab work and imaging, will be sent to your family veterinarian to ensure your pet receives continuity of care for the best recovery possible.
